Karsten SlideShow Project

Karsten SlideShow is an open-source slide show program for Windows users. It makes playlist based slide shows for pictures and video clips. It offers flexible control over the presentation sequence. It supports all common picture formats like bmp, jpg/jpeg, png, wmf/emf files. It also supports all video formats which are supported by Windows Media Player on your Windows operating system. It offers a variety of features which makes it better than other slideshow software of this group.
It has a very friendly user interface, which helps the users make slideshows very easily and quickly. All slide collections made by this software can be saved in XML file format for further analysis. It supports drag and drop, so users can drag any picture or video file from any Windows application into this software to create the slideshow quickly. There are many options to choose from for making slide collections. It may contain picture files or links to a file folder with pictures. Moved or renamed files are resolved on NTFS file system automatically, so user intervention is not required to link that file again, if it’s already included and moved somewhere else. The desktop wallpaper can be changed via a command line option based on a slide collection during system startup.
